If you have a metal filling, it’s really up to you if you want it replaced. Today, we use a biocompatible, more aesthetically pleasing composite resin material to fill cavities. These don’t result in dental sensitivity, require less alteration of your natural tooth structure, and don’t lead to tooth and gum discoloration.
